Auto fill-in of City and State for an entered Zip Code
This solution will enable automatic fill-in of City and State for a
given Zip Code. You'll need to perform the following steps to
implement this:
- Download the table creation and stored procedure zip file here
- Download the Total
Zip Code Database from FMS Inc. The cost is $99 for a 1-year
subscription.
- Use MS Access with an attached SQL table to import the Access
tblZipCode table into your custom csuZipCodeLookup table. Since
tblZipCode does not have unique zip codes, you'll need to specify
importing of Primary zip codes only.
- At this point, you can either decide to configure your ecpycCompany
and ecpccIndividual to call the cspcgZipCodeLookup stored procedure
automatically -or- configure the ecpsgAddressList procedure and enable
the SystemParameter setting "EnableAddressLookup" to enable
the Address Lookup button on Customer Center.
